Dear Valued Hilton Head Owners,

 

The holiday season is upon us. Time to rejoice in 2022 and plan for future vacations in 2023.

 

We hope to see you this holiday for a laid-back Lowcountry experience. Hilton Head offers some fantastic events during the holiday and winter season to see with both friends and family. Some of the most popular events include Harbour Town Lights, “Holiday Lights for Tis the Season” at Shelter Cove Towne Centre, Christmas Village in South Beach, Weekends with Santa at the Tanger Outlets, and the Winter Wonderland Festival at Shelter Cove Community Park.

 

Be sure to book your tee times in advance during the winter season at one of the many award-winning golf courses on the island. They go fast.

LOCAL NEWS

Winter is a beautiful time to visit Hilton Head for the holiday lights, Christmas trees, events, and shows. It’s also oyster season in South Carolina with many oyster roasts to be found around and on the island. For the wine lovers there are wine dinners and events to attend with local experts sharing knowledge about pairing options. Santa comes to town at Shelter Cove every year, and he can be found at a few other locations on the island as well. After all the fun and festivities, you can ring in the new year at the Harbour Town Lighthouse with food, entertainment, music, and a celebration as the ball drops at midnight. 

Gullah Celebration

 

This spectacular event is organized by descendants of the West Africans who strive to preserve the Gullah way of life. The event displays the sewing of sweet grass baskets, casting nets, art, crafts, and food that was passed down to the Gullah community that lives here today. This Gullah Celebration runs February 1 through February 28.

Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival

 

The Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival never disappoints. Over the past 38 years those who attend have enjoyed the unique and tasty sips along with delicious bites from the region’s culinary leaders. As you purchase your favorite wine at the auctions and enjoy the many tastings at the Grand Tasting and Public Tasting events you will be contributing to a good cause. The proceeds from the auctions and Grand Tastings events go to the John F. & Valerie Currie Educational Scholarship Fund for college students pursuing a degree in the hospitality and tourism field. The event is being held this year at Celebration Park across from Coligny Beach, March 19 to March 26, 2023.

Arts Center of Coastal Carolina

 

The Arts Center is an award-winning independent, non-profit theatre located in the heart of Hilton Head Island. The Arts Center brings entertainment, inspiring shows, educational programs, and special events to Hilton Head.

This winter enjoy the Arts Center presentation of A Classic Christmas story about Ralphie Parker who dreams of a special holiday gift and then begins a few schemes to receive it. As he is plotting his way toward the gift, he becomes distracted by a few funny things that happen along the way. A Christmas Story is fun for the whole family. See the show from December 7 to December 31, 2022.

The Arts Center presents Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. A progressive white couple’s daughter brings her fiancé to dinner challenging their liberal beliefs about themselves. The fiancé’s parents attend the dinner and bring their strong feelings about the couple creating a multi-family clash. A witty and insightful look at two families faced with their prejudices. See the show from February 1 to February 19, 2023.

Owner Services Has Been Implementing Steps to Take Your Ownership to The Next Level

When you’re ready for a vacation with Spinnaker, the Owner Services Department is here to guide you, our Owners, through the process by finding the appropriate location, time and villa for you, your family, and your friends. 

 

“We are similar to vacation counselors,” said John Cabaniss, Director of Corporate Customer Relations, “Our goal is to help you plan the best vacation possible.”

 

The Owner Services Department has worked hard the last few years to enhance the Owner Experience. We have increased the number of positions hoping to expedite many of the daily inquires and requests received. We hired an experienced Quality Assurance & Training Supervisor to provide staff with regular coaching and the tools needed to provide the best service possible.

 

We also implemented a new phone system which provides real time service level insights and utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) functionality to provide satisfaction rates on all phone call interactions. Another exciting announcement is that a new division of Owner Services has been established in the last few months called the New Ownership Welcome (NOW) Team.

 

The representatives on this team are specialists in their roles and their primary responsibilities will be interacting with Owners who recently joined the Spinnaker Family or modified their ownership benefits in some manner to provide an extra level of care. They will walk you through all aspects of your new ownership. The team members will answer questions and help you start enjoying vacations as soon as possible by setting up your first trip with Spinnaker.  

 

The Owner Services Department is always working to improve your Ownership. We look forward to working with you as you plan your next Spinnaker vacation.

We are always working to improve your facilities and villas. Here is a recap of the work completed or started over the past few months.

Bluewater Resort and Marina

  • Installed new lights and ceiling fans around the Pier Pavilion
  • Added high top seating, tables and rocking chairs at the Pier Pavilion
  • Repainted waterfront chairs and benches
  • Installed new can lights in front of the Registration Building
  • Replaced rotten wooden posts and fencing at the Activities Center Pool
  • Repainted Indoor Pool deck
  • Installed new speakers around the Lazy River Pool with Bluetooth connection adapter 
  • Painted yellow stripes along the sidewalk in front of each building
  • Installed new grills between the 6200 Building and the 6300 Building
  • Installed 25 new ceiling fans in master bedrooms in the 6100 Building
  • Installed 20 new living room TVs in the 6400 Building
  • Painted 7 bedroom units in the 6100 Building
  • Installed 12 new AC filters in the 6100 Building

  • Large Pool and Kids Pool decks were painted

  • Activity Building porch ceiling fans installed
  • Corn Hole Court installed
  • Four bench swings installed
  • New automated external defibrillator (AED), used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, was installed in the lobby of Registration/Activities Center
  • All 7 elevator upgrades are in progress. All interior car upgrades have been completed
  • Sidewalk across from 5100 Building repair completed
  • 10 water heaters have been replaced throughout the resort

  • The popcorn ceiling has been removed and the stairwell wall has been repaired in several villas
  • Front doors stripped, repaired, and repainted in 3 villas
  • Silicone has been replaced, new blinds have been installed and the registers have been updated in 5 villas
  • Kitchen toe kick has been replaced along with shoe molding and bathroom baseboard in 12 villas
  • Replaced the shower heads in 11 villas
  • Bathroom ceiling lights have been replaced with recessed lights in 31 villas

Southwind 

  • Palm tree trimming throughout the property has been completed
  • Annual bike path tree trimming, and cleanup has been completed
  • Bike racks have been installed throughout the property
  • Quarterly roof blowing and gutter cleaning has been completed
  • Clear inner tubes have been added to the Pool area
  • Non-functioning attic solar vents have been replaced in 2 villas along with ridge vents added
  • Silicone has been replaced, new blinds have been installed, and the registers have been updated in 11 villas
  • Kitchen toe kick has been replaced along with shoe molding and bathroom baseboard in 1 villa
  • Replaced the shower heads in 8 villas

The Cottages

  • Palm tree trimming throughout the property has been completed Quarterly roof blowing and gutter cleaning has been completed
  • Clear inner tubes have been added to the Pool area
  • Bike racks have been installed throughout the property
  • Front doors have been stripped, repaired, and repainted in 27 villas
  • Silicone has been replaced, new blinds have been installed, and the registers updated in 9 villas
  • Front stairs have been replaced in 10 more villas

  • Palm tree trimming throughout the property has been completed

  • Kitchen toe kick has been replaced along with shoe molding and bathroom baseboard in 7 villas

Remember to make your reservations as early as possible for you to book your most desired vacation time.

 

To make it easy for you to book your reservation, we provide three ways to do so:

  1. Complete a Reservation Request Form, found on your Owners' Website under FORMS
  2. Email [email protected] with your preferred location and dates
  3. Call us at (877) 842-3201. We are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT.
