Dear Valued Hilton Head Owners,

After record summer heat in 2023 we are welcoming the fall season with open arms.

The fall weather brings us ideal conditions and plenty to see and do on the island and the surrounding area. It’s a perfect time to enjoy the 24 golf courses and many highly praised restaurants. We are sure a visit will provide a fantastic island getaway for you and your family. If you haven’t yet vacationed or made reservations to stay at the resorts this year, make plans now.

At this time, my staff and I are already planning our annual maintenance and deep cleaning weeks program that will occur this winter.

As the summer sun gently yields to the warm hues of autumn, Hilton Head Island beckons with its tranquil charm and a new array of seasonal delights. This coastal haven transforms into a fall paradise, offering a refreshing change of pace. To enhance your fall getaway, we've assembled a list of the top five activities to savor in this autumnal retreat!

1. Bask in the Sunshine on Hilton Head's Gorgeous Beaches

Embrace the tranquility of Hilton Head's beaches during the fall season. Whether you choose the serene shores of Coligny Beach Park, the peaceful ambiance of Mitchelville Beach, or the unspoiled beauty of Folly Field Beach, you'll discover an ideal retreat for relaxation. Bask in the gentle sun, enjoy invigorating swims in the Atlantic, create cherished sandcastles with your family, and let the soothing melody of ocean waves whisk away your cares.

2. Play a Round of Golf

Hilton Head Island boasts over 26 world-class golf courses, including PGA TOUR event venues like Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines, where the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing takes place. Designed by legendary architects like Robert Trent Jones Sr., Pete Dye, and Jack Nicklaus, these championship courses cater to golfers of all levels, ensuring a memorable experience.

3. Fish and Grits Music Festival

The Lowcountry Fish & Grits Music Festival shines a spotlight on the vibrant Gullah Geechee culture and its profound ties to the African diaspora. This captivating event celebrates the synergy of remarkable musical talent and delectable local cuisine. Join us in tracing our African heritage through the harmonies of music and the flavors of our food traditions. It's a joyful gathering for both the Binyas (natives) and Comyas (non-natives), promising an unforgettable blend of music, culinary delights, and good times! The festival takes place October 7th, 2023.

4. Music and Taste on the Harbour

A Hilton Head Island, SC favorite! Dance the night away on Thursday nights this fall at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina featuring local favorite bands, great food and all the dancing you can possibly do.

5. Autumn Family Paint Party

Follow along as Camilla Pagliaroli teaches you how to paint your own artwork inspired by fall. Then, enjoy story time with some autumn tales. For ages 6 and up. This event takes place September 23^rd from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage.

Going Green - Paperless Billing!

In the ongoing effort to “Go Green”, we offer paperless Association Fee billing. Should you wish to opt-in to paperless billing delivery, please complete this form. Once submitted, your ownership will be updated and instead of mailing your Association Fee bill, Southwind Management will advise you by email when your Association Fee statement is available online for viewing and payment. For those of you who have previously opted in for paperless billing – thank you!

No more misplacing your bill, no more paper waste and no more hassle. Viewing your Association Fee bill is easier through our secure website and payment portal!

FEATURED RESORT IMPROVEMENTS

We are always working to improve your facilities and villas. Here is a recap of the work completed or started over the past few months.

Bluewater Resort and Marina

16 new ceiling fans and six new HVAC units installed for your comfort in the 6100 Building villas
A new camera system has been implemented for your safety
New pier brace supports, and new pier ladder were installed for your improved safety and security
Our Fitness Center has received a makeover with new equipment, a fresh coat of paint, and enhanced lighting, along with the addition of three new 50-inch TVs
To brighten things up, we've installed new lights in all villa entrances and the pool restrooms
The pergolas in the 6100 Building have been repainted
New furniture has been added to the pier area for your enjoyment

Waterside

We've replaced damaged gutters and ensured the security of balcony railings, as well as rebuilding door thresholds where necessary in the 5100 Building
All villa doors have received a fresh coat of paint along with new signage for clarity
We've installed new ceiling light fixtures above corner villas to enhance illumination
In the hallways, stair treads have been replaced, and we've given the exterior halls a property-wide fresh paint job
We’ve made the switch from Unifirst to Aramark to clean the door mats and to improve the cleanliness of your resort experience
At the main pool, we've provided a new umbrella for your comfort, and our landscaping efforts have included the addition of palms and flowers to enhance the overall aesthetic

Egret Point

A new aluminum pool gate has been installed for added safety and convenience
We've introduced new table and chair sets, along with rocking chairs, to the pool deck, providing more comfortable and inviting spaces for you to relax and enjoy your time by the pool

Southwind

The pool bathroom renovations have been completed to provide a more modern and comfortable experience
We've installed brand-new aluminum pool gates for added convenience and safety
A new pool deck has been constructed, offering a refreshed and inviting space to relax
Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the addition of a new basketball goal by the pool
For those who enjoy grilling, we've added two new grills for your convenience
To create a more comfortable atmosphere, we've introduced new table and chair sets and rocking chairs on the pool deck

The Cottages

We are in the process of sanding and repainting both the back and front doors to ensure they remain in excellent condition
We've made substantial upgrades to our trash corals, including grinding the mental surfaces, replacing stairs, and updating platforms with composite materials
These areas have also received a fresh coat of paint, all in the interest of maintaining and improving the overall quality and aesthetics of our property

Carolina Club

We've added two new grills at the Activity Center, making outdoor cooking more convenient
For those looking for recreational fun, we've installed a brand-new shuffleboard court
Our commitment to safety and aesthetics continues with the power washing and staining of the playground equipment
We’ve introduced new aluminum pool gates to enhance safety and convenience
To create a more inviting atmosphere, we've placed table and chair sets along with rocking chairs on the pool deck, allowing you to relax and enjoy your time by the pool even more

Join us at the Activities Center every Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a rejuvenating journey into the world of Aroma Therapy, designed to enhance your vacation relaxation. Discover the scents that resonate with you and unlock the potential for tranquility and well-being during your stay. Remember to make your reservations as early as possible for you to book your most desired vacation time.

To make it easy for you to book your reservation, we provide three ways to do so:

Call us at (877) 842-3201. We are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
