Dear Ormond Beach Spinnaker Owners,

Summer is here and that means it is time to play at the beach! We are excited to welcome back all our summer-loving families. Whether you enjoy beach walks in the sand, body surfing in the waves, or sitting on the pool deck, we appreciate the opportunity to be a part of making your vacation memories with you.

When you are ready for a break from the fun in the sun, we suggest taking a short walk to the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens. The museum reopened in May after a sixteen-month, four-million-dollar renovation that made this little hidden gem a prominent and vibrant feature as you start your vacation with us.

Lastly, I want to remind you that your usage reservations can be made up to one year in advance. We want each of you to make the most of your ownership and enjoy smooth sailing vacations. Don’t miss out on booking your first choice of dates by waiting too late!

Enjoy fresh produce, local honey, fine crafts, and yummy treats from our weekly market, located right by the Public Library. Plenty of free parking at City Hall or across the street in Cassen Park. Every Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The First Saturday Ormond Art Walk kicks off on Saturday, July 2 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The art galleries of Granada Blvd. invite the community to share in a monthly reception of artist exhibitions. Local galleries open their doors to the public hosting new artwork, refreshments, and entertainment.

The City of Ormond Beach Fireworks Celebration will occur on Monday, Jul 4, 2022, 8 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Enjoy the music, food, fireworks, and more at Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach.

Celebrate Independence Day with fireworks in Ormond Beach

There will be fireworks at 9:45 p.m. on July 4 at the Bandshell in Daytona Beach. There also will be an Eagles tribute concert by The Alter Eagles, which begins at 7:15 p.m.

We Take Your Comments and Feedback Seriously

All of us at Spinnaker Resorts have only one job to do: that is to provide you with the best vacation experience possible. Ensuring your satisfaction is every staff member's commitment to you. We are interested in your feedback regarding the services provided and the quality of the resort facilities. Did you ever wonder what happens to your surveys and comments once they are sent to us after your vacation? Your comments are valuable and are reviewed and analyzed by our management team. Our goal is to take your feedback as we continually improve our procedures and enhance our resorts so that you can enjoy your vacation. If something needs to be fixed in a villa, this information is forwarded to the maintenance team. If you have requested upgrades to a villa, we consider your feedback when resort improvement planning is taking place.

You receive these surveys via email after every vacation you take with us. Please take a minute to share your comments and suggestions by filling out your Comment Card found in that email. At any time, you can visit your Owners' Website or use this link to fill out the Comment Card. Let us know if you were completely satisfied during your vacation. If you are unable to score us with a Very Satisfied, we would appreciate your written comments telling us why not. If you just want to say you had a lovely time or that a specific employee helped make your vacation special, please let us know. It will make our day brighter. EMPLOYEES WHO CARE

In this section, we will take some time each quarter to introduce you to our corporate and local Spinnaker employees that are working hard every day to help you enjoy your vacation.

On June 30th, Spinnaker Resorts will say a tearful goodbye to an important member of the Spinnaker Family, Comptroller Basil Matthews, as he retires. Throughout his professional career, Basil has dedicated 28 years to the Spinnaker business with his most recent term starting in March of 2000.

Originally from Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and graduating with a degree in Sociology from York University in 1970, Basil worked in finance and accounting before finding his permanent home with Spinnaker Resorts. Basil is a Lifetime Member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants and enjoys the problem-solving involved with financial accounting.

In his spare time, Basil enjoys Pilates, walking, power boating, and has a love of sports cars. Basil has been a devoted and loyal employee of Spinnaker Resorts and its entities. His contributions, ideas, and steadfast thinking have been at the forefront of our accounting team. Basil is respected by the ownership team, his peers, and co-workers alike. His skill set, laughter, and humor will be missed. We congratulate Basil and will be thinking fondly of him as he enters his next chapter - surely filled with more travel, boating, and time with family. We wish him well, thank him for his leadership, and hope he will enjoy this time celebrating his achievements and enjoying all life has to offer.

Throughout the year, we are always busy at work improving your facilities and villas. Here is a recap of the work completed or started over the past few months.

Kitchen cabinet hinge replacement project has been completed

Villa armchairs have been deep cleaned
Villa interior doors have had their hinges replaced
A new handrail has been added to the lobby stairs near the Fitness area
The Splash Pad tank has been replaced allowing this amenity to return to service
The Tiki Bar and Pool area has been painted

Make sure you see the Todd Bogue Comedy Show for some great entertainment! He’s talented and hilarious. This summer, you can see Todd Bogue at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings at the Royal Floridian South Gathering Room. It’s fun for the whole family.
