SUMMER 2021 SPINNAKER UPDATE

Dear Ormond Beach Owners,
This time last year, our resorts had just reopened and the summer that followed was one for the record books. We missed seeing many familiar faces as some understandably chose to forego vacation plans. A lot has changed since then, and you have made it clear you are ready to get back to vacationing! Our resorts are full, the pool deck and beach are bustling, and our staff are excited to welcome you back to your home away from home!
This summer we hope you will join us and participate in our #SpinnakerShuffle contest for some cool summer fun. You will find more details later in this newsletter. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to see our staff and guests having fun with it.
If you have not already vacationed or made your reservations, now is a great time to make your plans for a visit to Ormond Beach in the fall. Fall weather is typically fantastic and this year should be no exception.

Have you discovered the wonders of the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet? Discover and learn about Volusia County's rich marine life. Learn about its inhabitants and the ecosystems that make this area unique - all at the Marine Science Center. Through innovative learning experiences, visitors can view seabird and sea turtle rehabilitation, get hands-on in a teaching lab, and explore exhibits and a nature trail that illustrate the story of marine life in Volusia County. This center is currently looking after 70 birds and 27 sea turtles. Visitors can watch as the turtles receive specialized care from a University of Florida veterinarian and trained wildlife rehabilitation staff. Want a special treat? Ask about Sunrise, their 240-pound loggerhead!

The Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell will be hosting concerts all summer long. Due to COVID-19, performances at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell continue to be limited. Performances that are offered have limited capacity and social distancing protocols in place in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

New - Digital Villa Directory
As you know, prior to re-opening our resorts for your enjoyment (last year) our teams reimagined many aspects of our operations to ensure your safety during Covid-19. One of the precautions was to remove many of our in-villa items including the ever-so-resourceful Villa Directory. We know many of you find the directory invaluable as your resource for villa and resort information as well as local area information. We didn't want you to go without this guide so we have created a digital Villa Directory. The digital format will also allow us to continually improve, readily update and expand the information we can provide to you for your stays. In a nutshell you'll have better, more current information.
You'll get access to it in your reservation confirmation letters when you check-in for your vacation as well as on your Owners' website. Simply click the link on the Owner's site or scan the QR code in your Villa and then you'll be able to select your resort from the list to view your desired information.

FEATURED RESORT IMPROVEMENTS

Your team and esteemed board members continue to make improvements regarding your safety and comfort at Royal Floridian and Royal Floridian South. Here is the progress we have made over the past 6 months and what is in store for the future.
Royal Floridian
- Installation of new generation villa front door lock and key systems on all villa rooms to provide more reliability and fewer lockouts
- Replaced North side of building commercial water heater
- Concrete repair and touch up on upper pool deck and parking garage area
- New pool deck furniture installed
Royal Floridian South
- Installation of new generation villa front door lock and key systems on all villa rooms to provide more reliability and fewer lockouts
- Installation of luxury vinyl tile in place of carpet and porcelain tile in nine villas to create a no-slip environment
- New dresser draws installed in all one-bedroom villas
Due to Covid-19, the Resort renovation project was placed on hold. Starting December 2021 through the second week of February 2022, a block of 17 more units will be renovated and refurbished. This is the fourth phase of what will now be a five-phase project. To date, 75% of the villas have been fully renovated. This project includes villas on the fourth and third floor, South side of building.

Although the mask requirement has been lifted in Ormond Beach, the Royal Floridian and Royal Floridian South resorts are still required to follow CDC guidelines.
There are some activities you can participate in such as Bingo, Putt-Putt and a Shuffleboard Tournament. You can also enjoy the pool, pool deck and hot tub - all while keeping social distancing in mind between you and other parties/familes.

OWNER SERVICES AND RESERVATIONS

With so many of you excited to make up for little or no travel last year and ready to enjoy mother nature and our spectacular resorts, we ask you to make your reservations as early as possible. We encourage all Owners to provide plenty of lead time when booking or banking their usage. We don't want you to miss out on your desired vacation.
To make it easy for you to book your reservation, we provide three ways to do so:
- Simply complete a Reservation Request Form, found on your Owners' website under FORMS
- Email us at [email protected] with your preferred location and dates
- Call us at (877) 842-3201. We are available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
