SPRING ORMOND BEACH 2023 SPINNAKER UPDATE

As many of you are aware, we have been renovating the Royal Floridian Resort villas since 2017. These renovations were planned in phases so that we could accomplish them without unreasonable fee increases or a Special Assessment. We are excited to announce we finished the last phase in February!

Since this project began, we have received many requests for a renovated villa. We are happy that we are now able to fill more of these requests. If you stayed with us during the renovations, you know there were some challenges. Despite our best efforts, your vacations were impacted by limited parking, noise, and dust. We want to thank each of you for your patience while these improvements were made.

We have also been busy installing Luxury Vinyl Tile in the Royal Floridian South villas and are expecting this project to be complete by the time you read this. We love the change and from your feedback, we are excited that you love it too!

With these major projects behind us, we look forward to our beautiful spring weather and want to welcome all of you that will be vacationing with us this spring with a smile and a welcome home.

Spring is a great time to visit Ormond Beach, Florida. With the mild weather and smaller crowds, there are plenty of activities and events to enjoy. Whether you're looking for outdoor adventures or cultural experiences, here are some of the top things to do in Ormond Beach this spring:

Hit the Beach

Ormond Beach is known for its beautiful, pristine beaches. With the mild spring weather, it's the perfect time to soak up some sun, go for a swim, or take a long walk along the shore. You can also try your hand at fishing or rent a kayak or paddleboard to explore the nearby Tomoka River.

Explore Tomoka State Park

Tomoka State Park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors in Ormond Beach. Take a scenic hike or bike ride through the park's trails or rent a canoe and paddle along the Tomoka River. Native Americans once dwelled here, living off fish-filled lagoons. Today, it is a bird-watchers paradise. You can also take a guided tour to learn about the park's history and wildlife. The park protects a variety of wildlife habitats and endangered species such as the West Indian manatee.

Visit the Ormond Memorial Art Museum

This museum is a must-see attraction in Ormond Beach. It features a variety of exhibits and collections, showcasing the work of local and national artists. In the spring, the museum also hosts several events and workshops, including art classes, concerts, and film screenings.

Play Golf

Ormond Beach is home to several world-class golf courses, including the LPGA International and the Riviera Country Club. Spring's milder weather makes it an ideal time to hit the links and enjoy a round of golf.

There are several festivals and events in the spring, such as the Ormond Beach Beer Festival on May 13 and the annual Daytona Beach Art Fest on April 8. All ages are welcome! Enjoy delicious food, live music, and novel activities.

RESORT ACTIVITIES

The Activities Team has come up with creative and entertaining activities for you this spring. View the online schedule so you can participate in all the fun activities and exciting events during your stay in Ormond Beach!

Decorate Glass Sand and Shells

Calling all craft lovers! This spring stop by and decorate a glass candle with sand and shells. Your artwork will make a great souvenir for you, a family or friend.

Putt Putt Tournament

A fun sport for all ages. Its' time to put your golf skills to the test. Meet us on the mini golf course for this tournament - it will be a great opportunity to have fun in the sun. Play to win prizes!

Water Aerobics

Every Thursday, join Katherine for her water aerobics class at 9:30 a.m. to get a great workout in the Florida sun! Get your bathing suit on and start your day right!

This is a guest favorite! Make a custom shirt in the North Activities Room. The activities staff will guide you through the process. Whether you choose a white T-shirt or a Spinnaker T-shirt you will be proud to flaunt your creative skills wherever you go this spring.

Remember to make your reservations as early as possible for you to book your most desired vacation time.
