The holiday season is upon us. Time to rejoice, reflect on 2021 and plan for the new year.

What a year! Hilton Head Island was named America's Favorite Island by Conde Nast Travelers readers. Let us take a minute and ask why is Hilton Head Island America's Favorite Island?

Is it the laid-back Lowcountry way of life? Perhaps it is the gorgeous beaches and delicious local fare. Maybe it's the natural beauty and the multitude of outdoor adventures. There is something to satisfy everyone.

We love Hilton Head Island for its natural beauty. You immediately think of pristine beaches and grand Live Oaks draped in Spanish Moss. You can see alligators, dolphins, deer, 100's of bird species and so much more on any given day. You can enjoy the wetlands, marshes and water ways that surround and make up the island paradise. Explore these waterways by kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, a fishing charter, or joining a dolphin watching cruise. You can enjoy the leisure and bike paths that traverse the island, reconnect with nature, or feed your appetite for outdoor adventure by jet skiing, parasailing, surfing or water skiing. Did you know that Hilton Head Island is one of the top 25 bicycle-friendly communities in the U.S.?

All this and we haven't even mentioned the award-winning golf courses. Twenty-four on the island alone.

Did you know the arts and cultural scene of Hilton Head Island is just as appealing as its outdoor pursuits? You can enjoy concerts by talented local musicians, theater performances, and art exhibitions at galleries across the island. Or uncover natural history at the Coastal Discovery Museum or any of the numerous historical parks on the island.

LOCAL NEWS

If you would like to take in a show while visiting, Elf the Musical will be playing at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina from December 7, 2021–January 2, 2022.

We will be celebrating Gullah culture the entire month of February 2022. The Gullah Celebration fills several weeks with interesting and exciting activities to entertain and enlighten participants including an art exhibit, which showcases the work of Gullah artists.

The Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival will be held February 21–28, 2022. This is a week-long family-friendly event at the Honey Horn Plantation on Hilton Head Island showcasing talented chefs, local seafood, live music and more.

The Hilton Head Annual Wingfest is back this year on Saturday, March 19, 2022. The annual Wingfest offers loads of fun and a lot of great food. There is live music, libations, kid's activities, and of course - plenty of wings!

The Hilton Head Wine and Food Festival is coming March 21-27, 2022. This annual event showcases many of the world's premier wines while shining a light on the Lowcountry's unique and thriving food scene. You don't want to miss this week of fine wine and culinary experiences.

We always appreciate your input from the Comment Cards and when you share your experiences on Facebook. Our staff is working hard to make some upgrades you will look forward to enjoying. Here are just a few of the many resort upgrades that have been performed or are scheduled for the near future.

Bluewater Resort and Marina

New gas grills have been installed
New solar lights have been installed at the pier
A removable pickle ball court has been added to the resort
The Check-in/Activities center pool area has had the spa resurfaced and tile repaired
Building 6200 stairwell painting has been completed
View holes have been installed in Building 6100 villa entry doors
Roof repairs have been completed to the Building 6100 metal roof system

All parking and roadway maintenance has been completed

With so many of you excited to make up for little or no travel last year and ready to enjoy mother nature and our spectacular resorts, we ask you to make your reservations as early as possible. We encourage all Owners to provide plenty of lead time when booking or banking their usage. We don’t want you to miss out on your desired vacation.

To make it easy for you to book your reservation, we provide three ways to do so:

Email us at [email protected] with your preferred location and dates
Call us at (877) 842-3201. We are available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT

Reminder: January is typically the busiest month for call volume into our offices. In order to avoid potential long hold times, we encourage everyone to use either the reservation request form on the website or send us an email. You can also pay your Association fees online and avoid any wait.
