JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is the first line of management interacting with our homeowners creating the first impression. This position is responsible for upholding Spinnaker’s standards and practices. It supports meaningful and positive interactions with guests from the phone, during check-in, throughout the duration of the stay and finally to the conclusion during the check-out process.

**SIGN-ON BONUS: This full-time position is eligible for a $1000.00 sign-on bonus after 90 days of good standing employment**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist owners and guests with the reservation process.
  • Have knowledge of the RCI exchange process.
  • Make proper hotel reservations.
  • Quote proper rates for timeshare rental guests.
  • Be aware of timeshare and hotel availability.
  • Communicate clearly and precisely with both owners and other departments.
  • Be informative and suggestive.
  • Accurately monitor the process of confirmations for owners and guests.
  • Posting of additional charges to guest folios prior to check in.
  • Have knowledge of timeshare Rules and Regulations.
  • Have the ability to use multiple computer databases.
  • Monitor staff and productivity.
  • Clean work area before leaving work area.
  • Perform daily audits for both hotel and timeshare guests.
  • Monitor credit history and contact guests exceeding limits for payment
  • Be conscious of all property safety regulations.
  • Ability to follow and complete shift checklists.
  • Provide constant communication with the marketing team with regards to tour guests experiencing any issues.
  • Be informative and suggestive with good local area knowledge and general information about our properties.
  • Accurately check in guests and provide them with a positive start to their vacation experience.
  • Post payments to guest folios, ensuring that the guests have paid for their stay prior to checking in, that all assessment dues are collected and obtain appropriate authorizations for incidentals.
  • Provide leadership to the front desk team.
  • Provide support to Front Desk Manager.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Previous supervisory skills or equivalent in hospitality industry.
  • Good Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, email, and general computer skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills for interaction with owners, guests, vendors, employees, and the general public, using tact and poise.
  • Follows directions with accuracy and positive attitude.
  • On time for scheduled shifts and always shows up for work.
  • Ability to organize, maintain and lead staff.
  • Neat appearance and warm, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to type and prepare forms if necessary.
  • Ability to operate the following equipment:
    • Computer
    • Fax
    • Multi-line phone system
    • Calculator
    • Electronic Key encoder
  • Ability to present information properly using discretion when dealing with owners and guests.
