If a hurricane threatens Ormond Beach, there will first be a Voluntary Evacuation Order issued by the Local Government. If the Governor issues a Mandatory Evacuation Order, you are required to leave the beachside of Ormond Beach immediately and will not be able to return until the storm has passed and local authorities allow re-entry to the area.

Hurricane Evacuation Route
State Road 40 (Granada Blvd.) is a designated Hurricane Evacuation Route for the Ormond Beach area. After passing over the bridge, SR 40 will lead you to I-95 North or South.
