Independence Day Celebrations
For all you patriotic, flag-waving, firecracker-lighting, music-lovers out there – I know the perfect place for you to see and show off your pyrotechnic and music skills… Fourth of July in Branson, Missouri.
Set deep in the Ozark Mountains, rich in mid-west living, Branson will again set some high standards when it comes to family-friendly entertainment. It has become tradition in my family to make the yearly pilgrimage to a few favorite local places to enjoy the firework displays. There are firework displays at Branson Landing, College of the Ozarks, local theatre displays, as well as top notch events like that hosted by Chateau on the Lake. You will have no trouble finding the right spot for you and your family that you’ll look forward to returning to year after year. If you’re new to Branson, you’ll have fun testing various venues and figuring it out! Start your family tradition this year.
All joking aside, we all know there is nothing like the smell of gunpowder to raise your patriotic spirits along with burgers and brats to fill your bellies. Here are a few favorite excellent pyrotechnic displays to entertain the whole family:
The 7th Annual Liberty Light Up Fireworks Show With Journey Resurrection – Live Concert. Bring a blanket and find a great spot on the grass at Branson Landing on July 3rd 8:00 p.m. This high energy show will delight all ages with live music performed by Resurrection (Journey Tribute Band) followed by an amazing choreographed firework display. The grand finale of this spectacular show will leave all spectators awestruck.
Chateau on the Lake – How about some of the best BBQ in Branson, followed up by live music and games for the entire family? Take in all the beauty of Table Rock Lake while watching fireworks light up the night sky. This one is a favorite for me and my family. The kids get to play along the shoreline and catch fireflies while Mom and Dad recline in their lawn chairs listening to all of the laughter and playing. As dusk fades into night the darkness is replaced with an amazing demonstration of Fourth of July passion. This is a “must see” event.
Palace View Resort’s FUN team will be hosting a “4th of July Block Party” from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Create lasting memories of face painting, spray on tattoos, greased Watermelon Competition, Bounce house for the kids, dance party for the adults with prizes (can’t leave the adults out of the equation now, can we?), and lastly, of course there will be live music provided by DJ “Prince Ivan”, a Branson local favorite. This by no means is a complete list of every activity that the FUN team will be providing at the Block Party, but it should be enough to whet your appetite. Oh, and when it comes to your appetite, there will be hot dogs and snacks to satisfy the munchies.
Hope to see you there!
