By now you know that Ormond Beach is one of Florida's most beautiful beaches and perfect for families looking for a place to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, and waves. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone happy, from building sandcastles to swimming in the ocean. And when you're ready for a break from the beach, there are plenty of parks, attractions, restaurants, and shops nearby to explore.

Just north of Daytona Beach along Florida's Atlantic Coast, Ormond Beach offers a first-class resort experience without sacrificing its small-town grace. One of the town's earliest settlers was billionaire John. D. Rockefeller, and Ormond Beach still provides visitors with elegant relaxation - though, now, it also allows easy access to busier nearby destinations such as next-door neighbor Daytona Beach or, just more than an hour away, Orlando. Bordered by the Tomoka River on the west, the Atlantic Ocean on the east, Ormond Beach is an ideal location for a myriad of water activities. Ormond Beach visitors can also enjoy a variety of cultural and recreational events offered throughout the year – and the pleasures of its historic downtown along Granada Boulevard.

Get out on the water at Tomoka State Park. Native Americans once dwelled here, living off fish-filled lagoons. Today, these waters are popular for canoeing, boating, and fishing. Tomoka is a bird-watcher's paradise, with over 160 species sighted, especially during the spring and fall migrations. Visitors can stroll a half-mile nature trail through a hardwood hammock that was once an indigo field for an 18th-century British landowner. The park protects a variety of wildlife habitats and endangered species such as the West Indian manatee. |

Jeep Beach is one of the largest Jeep only events in the country. Attracting 200,000 Jeeps to Daytona Beach in 2019, it will be held April 25 - May 1, 2022.
The Rockville Music Festival takes place in Daytona Beach over the weekend of May 19 to 22. Luckily, the venue is the popular Daytona International Speedway, which has on-site parking. Bands like Kiss, Guns N' Roses and Shinedown form a packed lineup. |
