Dear Hilton Head Spinnaker Owners,

We hope you have been enjoying a safe and pleasant holiday season and let us be among the first to wish you a Happy New Year! We want to thank each of you for being dedicated Owners and also to welcome our new Owners to the Spinnaker Family.

The Spinnaker Hilton Head Resorts hosted over 19,500 Owner and guest reservations this year, entertained well over 30,000 people during resort-sponsored activities and completed many resort upgrades and improvements. Looking ahead into 2020, we are excited to see that so many Owners have already confirmed their 2020 vacation plans and that we have some resort improvement projects already in-progress and on the horizon. We hope that you will be as pleased as we are with the upcoming resort improvements and the fun activities and events we have planned for you this year!

Please remember, we personally read all of your comment cards. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and continued support. It makes us happy to know that you think we are doing a good job and we greatly appreciate hearing the areas upon which we might improve. We consistently strive to exceed your vacation expectation – that’s always been our goal, and will continue to be, no matter the season.

Don’t wait! Call your Owner Services team today to make your reservation for the coming year. We encourage all Owners to provide plenty of lead time when booking or banking their usage. We don’t want you to miss out on your desired vacation.

To make it easy for you to book your reservation, we provide three ways to do so:

  1. Simply complete a Reservation Request Form, found on your Owners' website under FORMS
  2. Email us at [email protected] with your preferred location and dates
  3. Call us at (877) 842-3201. We are available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.

Did you know that Spinnaker Resorts sets an inventory of rooms aside at our resorts and makes them available ONLY TO YOU, our Owners at discounted rates (based on availability)? That's what OWNER BONUS TIME is for. As an Owner you can choose to use this time and vacation at any of our incredible destinations! Use your Owner Bonus Time to plan incremental vacations at a different Spinnaker location or add on to your designated ownership time.

  • Hilton Head and Branson reservations from November 1st through February 28th may be made more than 30 days prior to check-in (up to one year in advance). Other reservations can be made 30 days or less, prior to check-in date. Bluewater, Royal Floridian South and Palace View Heights Owner Bonus Time are available for Spinnaker Premier Owners only.

Hilton Head Island is spreading the holiday cheer! Celebrate the New Year at Harbour Town. Have fun with family at Hilton Head Snow Day or partake in the seafood festival. It's up to you. We hope to see you at these exciting events.

New Year's Eve Celebration in Harbour Town

Let’s welcome in 2020! Join in for a festive New Year's Eve ball drop from the top of the Harbour Town Lighthouse on December 31, 2019 from 6 p.m. until midnight. Enjoy food, fun, entertainment and live music throughout Harbour Town, then count down the ball drop as we welcome the New Year! There will be two drops, one at 7 p.m. and midnight. It's double the fun!

Yes, we have a Snow Day! On January 25, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. take part in this family event that will have inflatable rides, a snowfield, and entertainment! For kids that have never seen snow or may be missing it, this is the perfect event! The price is $10 for ages 2-17 and for the adults it's free!

Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival

Let's seize the day seafood lovers! The Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival runs from February 24 to March 1, 2020. This is a family-friendly weeklong culinary and cultural tourism event, where top chefs, mixologists, sommeliers, local seafood, artisans, live music and wildlife come together. Experience our coast's rich fishing heritage during the weeklong festival. Here you can sample restaurants' fresh catch specials, try fresh oysters, and maybe even learn how to fish yourself. Tickets are available online here.  Below are just a few of the events you can look forward to at the festival.

Events Include:

  • Monday, February 24 – February 28: Lowcountry Seafood Experience on the Water
  • Thursday, February 27: Pitmaster 101
  • Thursday, February 27: Friends of James Beard Southern Supper
  • Friday, February 28: Celebrity Chef Master Classes
  • Friday, February 28: Pig Pickin' + Oyster Roast
  • Saturday, February 29: 13th Annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival
  • Sunday, March 1: Seafood, Champagne Sunday Brunch

We have some exciting news! We have made great improvement progress at the resorts over the fall season and will continue to make improvements throughout the winter months. We are always striving to improve our resorts and implement your (Owners’) requests.

Bluewater Resort

  • New rocking chairs have been placed on the dock for your pleasure
  • Environmentally friendly electric vehicle charging stations have been installed
  • Decorative concrete has been applied at all Building elevator landings
  • New corridor tile has been installed for the 6200 & 6300 Buildings
  • Loveseats will be replaced in three bedroom villas in the 6100 Building

At Owners’ request we purchased rocking chairs for the dock to enjoy the spectacular views

Carolina Club

  • The patio furniture at all villas has been replaced
  • The landscaping around the tennis courts has been refreshed and cleaned
  • Exterior painting of the 600 Building villas is in progress
  • The pool house painting and upgrades are in progress
  • Pool and Spa renovation will be completed in March/April (weather dependent)

The Cottages

  • Spa renovation and repairs have been completed
  • Power saving switches have been installed at the water heaters throughout the entire resort
  • Appliance review and replacements are occurring now

Egret Point

  • Exterior painting has been completed at Buildings 4400 and 4500
  • Replacement of fogged windows were completed in all villas
  • Replacement of artwork above living room sofa has been completed
  • Vertical blinds have been replaced with new horizontal Faux Wood blinds in all villas
  • Living room sofa and chairs have been replaced in all the villas
  • Activities Center carpet and bathroom vinyl flooring have been replaced
  • Activities Center furniture has been replaced

Southwind

  • The back patios are being power washed and painted
  • In all villas, the patio furniture was replaced
  • Replacement of fogged windows has been completed in all villas
  • In the 3100 and 3200 Buildings, in the two bedroom villas, the vertical blinds of the master bedroom have been replaced by new horizontal Faux Wood blinds

Waterside

  • Wi-Fi bandwidth will be upgraded throughout the resort
  • Fire sprinklers have been replaced throughout the resort
  • The lobby furniture has been replaced
  • 5800 Building Exterior repainting is in progress
  • The main pool bathroom floors have been refinished with a decorative concrete application
  • Main pool bathroom improvements are in progress
  • Toilets are being replaced with taller comfort height ADA compliant models in all villas
  • The master bedroom armoires are being refinished
  • Coil stovetops are being replaced with flat top ranges

Wi-Fi Resort Performance Enhancements

We have recognized for many years that our Owners and guests travel with numerous devices and that you desire faster Wi-Fi services, whether to just check your email, social accounts or to access streaming services while on vacation. We have been actively upgrading our Wi-Fi bandwidth and performance throughout our resorts. Bluewater Resort was upgraded in 2016, Carolina Club was upgraded in 2018 and the Waterside upgrade will be completed this winter. At each resort the upgrade has added increased bandwidth and faster Internet service giving you, our Owners, and your guests enhanced Wi-Fi performance for your smart phones, tablets and computers.

Resort Environmental Update

While we haven’t made a big splash of it, there have been many efforts taken over the last few years to show how much Spinnaker Resorts is committed to the environment. We have been green focused in everything we do. What follows is just one example of a test we are conducting at Royal Floridian South to show our commitment to make a difference for our environment and our planet.

One of our goals is to eliminate plastic waste throughout our resorts. As a company last year we disposed of or had our guests remove and discard approximately 180,000 two ounce plastic bottles of shampoo with conditioner. That’s a significant amount of plastic waste. So at Royal Floridian South (Ormond Beach, FL) we have begun to test a new shampoo refillable dispenser. They were installed throughout the building the week of December 8 – 13, 2019. Each refillable dispenser holds 19 ounces and is refilled from a one gallon recyclable bottle. If this test for the durability and manageability of the product is successful and we deploy this solution throughout our resorts, we will only use 2,800 gallon bottles of shampoo a year which can be recycled, thereby reducing the amount of plastic waste that goes to landfills by over 177,000 plastic bottles in one year alone! Just look at how many plastic two ounce bottles one gallon replaces

So you can see that while we haven’t made a big deal of our efforts, we are very proud of the difference we are making for the environment and the planet and as Owners we want you to feel proud as well! Santa's been spotted on vacation at Bluewater! Bring your camera and take pictures with our Deep Sea Santa and his catch of the day before he heads back up to the North Pole. Or catch Santa relaxing at the Lagoon at Waterside.
