JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician/lT Assistant contributes to the achievement of the maintenance department’s goals by providing daily attention to the appearance of resort buildings, grounds, and common areas. Responsible for the maintenance of all facilities including rooms, pools, laundry rooms, barbecues, fixtures, drains, etc., as assigned by the Facilities Manager. Remains informed and aware of conditions that could have an impact on our ability to maintain a high-quality environment for our guests and owners. The Maintenance Tech/ IT assistant performs additional duties as assigned.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting in plumbing, electric and HVAC repairs with minimal assistance or supervision.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting all major appliances.
  • Perform plumbing maintenance such as pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, and
  • Jacuzzi tubs using methods that include soldering, brazing silver, PVC, CPVC, and fittings. Backup support to others, special projects as requested, and/or any legitimate business task within the scope of your responsibilities.
  • Assisting the IT Department via phone, email.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware. Identifying problems and solutions with IT Department Collaborating with team members across all departments to assist them with their technical requirements.
  • You will be responsible for a range of tasks including testing, and troubleshooting network and internet systems, wide area and local area networks, wireless issues, basic telephony.
  • Assisting colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems.
  • Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and reports that provide technical support to all departments.
  • Be on call for IT issues requiring a physical presence after hours and on weekends for the Branson area locations: French Quarter, Palace View, Palace View Heights and Branson Sales Center. Will be Point of Contact (POC) for service outages in the Branson area.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with employees, guests, vendors and the general public including the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Desire 2+ Years’ experience in maintenance work.
  • Basic HVAC and appliance troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.
  • Ability to walk extensively, climb ladders, stairs and lift 501bs or more.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
  • Analytical skills to study problems and identify solutions.
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.

IT Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
  • Analytical skills to study problems and identify solutions.
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems. Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
  • Excellent administrative skills when needed (i.e., attention to detail, accurate data entry, takes appropriate initiative).
  • Safety
  • Ensure that all safety rules are observed by activities staff.
  • Practice and encourage the proper safety procedures for equipment & chemical use.
  • Practice and encourage the proper safety procedures for physical exertion that involves bending, lifting, and climbing.
  • Know tornado, fire, and disaster procedures and help coordinate evacuation efforts if necessary.
  • Understand and be capable of completing the SMC accident/injury incident report forms/documents.
