JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is to provide clerical as well as financial and accounting support for the Sales Company group of subsidiaries of Spinnaker Resorts, Inc.  Financial and accounting support is defined as assisting with the compilation of financial and accounting records for multiple entities within the timeshare industry including processing postings to the general ledger, analysis of various operating entities, as well as routine account reconciliations and ledger analysis.  This position must be able to produce accurate and timely reports and related work product.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Accounts payable processing
  2. Daily/weekly/monthly Escrow Account ledger analysis
  3. Preparation of various Daily/Weekly/Monthly Sales Reports
  4. Assist with preparation of daily/weekly/monthly/year end accounting records
  5. File maintenance and general office support
  6. Assist with Bank and Post Office runs
  7. Inventory/supply order processing
  8. Special projects as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Dependability and ability to work 40 hours per week.
  3. Computer knowledge and experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  4. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  5. Excellent organizational skills.
  6. Excellent administrative skills (i.e., attention to detail, accurate data entry, takes appropriate initiative).
  7. Good problem solving skills.

 

OPTIONAL SKILLS A PLUS

  1. Prior experience with accounting software including Sage/Peachtree and QuickBooks or similar accounting programs is a plus.
