American Revolution Museum
Welcome to the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown!
Learn about the story of our nation’s founding, from the earliest days of the colonial period to the writing of the Constitution and beyond. This museum features exciting indoor galleries with period artifacts, immersive environments and films, as well as outdoor exhibits like a re-created Continental Army encampment, where visitors can learn about the life of a soldier. See demonstrations on medical treatment, camp life, cooking, and firings of a flintlock musket.
Guests can also visit the Revolution-era farm based on a real-life 18th-century family. See how a typical family would have helped with chores in the house, kitchen, tobacco barn, gardens and crops. Historical interpreters will guide you through your journey into the past.
In response to COVID-19, a few adjustments have been made so that you can enjoy the museum experience while following new safety protocols.
