Sit under the stars at the outdoor drama "The Shepherd of the Hills," complete with a touch of Ozark history and a shootout; see famous performers Bill Medley, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Lennon Sisters, Tony Orlando, Mickey Gilley, Andy Williams, Yakov Smirnoff, Shoji Tabuchi and more; or experience tributes to the Beatles, the Eagles and Patsy Cline. The diversity is tremendous and the decision for which show to attend—country, magic, dance, spiritual or comedy—won’t be easy!
Hilton Head Voted #22 Best Small Art Towns in America
According to John Villani, the island easily ranks in the top 100. Not to be missed are the Hilton Head Orchestra which is celebrating it’s 30th season and continues to showcase internationally acclaimed musicians. The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina offers Broadway type shows year-round while the BRAVO Arts and Culture Festival runs during May and features plays, symphonies, art exhibitions and food fairs. The month-long Hilton Head Island Gullah Celebration is in February and is a great way to learn about the island’s rich cultural heritage.
There is always something playing at a local theatre, whether it be the ballet, a play or musical, and you can always catch some great Jazz on the beach. The Coastal Discovery Museum and the children’s Sandbox Museum are also a worthwhile stops.
